Nigel Harman

Nigel Harman is an English Actor born in London, England during the 11th of August 1973. He went to school at Dulwich College, trained at The Arts Educational School in London and already had a manager at the tender age of eight. At this age, Harman made his first major television appearance as a character in BBC1’s “Tenko” followed by “Alas Smith and Jones” and “The Honey Siege”.

A skilled dance and juggler, Harman lost his mother to cancer at the age of 17.

However, Harman decided to try his hand on theatre roles and has appeared in productions like Much Ado About Nothing and Summer Holiday. He was also an original cast of the hit Mamma Mia! and performed in various musicals on cruise ships.

One of Harman’s best known roles was as Dennis Rickman in BBC’s soap opera EastEnders. This was on 2003 wherein he was also working as a delivery van driver for the supermarket Sainsbury’s.

His role in EastEnders has earned Harman various wins and nominations including National Television Awards 2003 Most Popular Newcomer, Inside Soap Awards 2004 Sexiest Male and Best Actor and Inside Soap Awards 2005 Sexiest Male and Best Actor. Some nominations include National Television Awards 2004 Most Popular Actor and British Soap Awards 2005 Best Actor.

After leaving EastEnders, Harman has appeared in various theatre productions including Guys and Dolls as Sky Masterson. He also appeared on the Crucible Theater in Sheffield as part of The Caretaker production.

In 2008, Harman appeared as a permanent cast in the series Hotel Babylon playing the part of Sam Franklin. Harman also appeared at the first episode of “Agatha Christies Marple” as Jason Rudd during the year 2010.
